Critic Reviews
93 points, International Wine Report
“The 2018 Chablis is sensational in this vintage. This Chablis begins with inviting aromatics of lemon oil, pear, white florals, saline minerality that all resonate through the wine. The palate is beautifully textured and balanced, with lovely acidity, freshness and a saline edge that expands through the finish. This is a simply gorgeous village-level Chablis that displays the qualities of Dauvissat’s Premier Cru’s, but should also be accessible at a slightly younger age.”

“Starting with the 2018 Chablis, it’s beautifully done and unquestionably cut from the same cloth as the single vineyard releases. Offering up tons of salted citrus, crushed stone-like minerality, and hints of seaside-like iodine and marine notes, it hits the palate with medium-bodied richness, bright, racy acidity, solid mid-palate depth, and a crisp, laser focused texture and finish. As with the other wines here, it needs bottle age. Give bottles at least 3-4 years, if not longer, and it should evolve gracefully over the following decade.”

90-91 points, James Suckling
“This is held on a reductive edge with refined, contained and certainly fresh citrus notes. The palate has very rich and assertive limes and white peaches. Very long, gently mealy and composed. More fruit than minerals, but very taut and refined for AC Chablis. Drink on release.”

“A ripe and wonderfully fresh nose also flashes plenty of classic Chablis character on the white-fleshed fruit and floral nose where background notes of iodine and oyster shell are present. The sleek, delicious and vibrant medium weight flavors exude evident minerality on the clean, dry and balanced finale. This is a quality Chablis villages.”

89-91 points, Vinous
“The 2018 Chablis is very pretty, nuanced and light on its feet, with silky, floral notes of lemon confit and white flowers. Dauvissat’s village Chablis is classic and understated. I have seen it blossom with a few years in bottle, which I suspect will be the case here as well.”

About The Winery
Domaine Vincent Dauvissat is arguably the finest Domaine in Chablis. Established in the 1970s by Robert Dauvissat, the Domaine has passed down from father to son for three generations. Robert's son René is to thank for establishing the reputation of the Domaine. Vincent began working with his father, René, in the 1970s and today runs the Domaine. A loyal following among France's most esteemed restaurateurs sharply limits the availability of Dauvissat wines for export. Despite limited quantities, the wines have attracted the praise and attention of critics worldwide.
