“Deep, vivid ruby-red. Displays vibrant, mineral-accented cherry and black raspberry aromas, along with licorice, allspice and olive paste nuances that add complexity. Sweet, penetrating dark berry, cherry and floral pastille flavors are underscored by a smoky mineral element and pick up a peppery quality on the back half. Fleshes out slowly on the clinging, sharply delineated finish, which is framed by harmonious tannins that blend smoothly into the wine’s energetic dark fruit. (all whole clusters; fermented in concrete tanks and aged for 15 months in two- and three-year old 228 liter barriques)”

“The 2017 Domaine Bréseyme Côtes du Rhône opens to lovely aromas of black cherries and plum which are woven together with spices, pepper, lavender, black olives and BBQ smoke which carry over on to the palate. On the palate this is medium-bodied, silky, with a lovely fresh character keeping it fresh and inviting through the finish. This is a gorgeous Côtes du Rhône to approach now or cellar over the next few years.”
About The Winery
Although Bre´ze`me is still relatively unknown, its slopes and its terroir are steeped in history. Vines have been grown on the Bre´ze`me hillsides since the Middle Ages. Classified as a Co^tes du Rho^ne in 1937, Bre´ze`me has, for several years, been taking steps to obtain the status of cru. Domaine de Bréseyme currently cultivates 4 hectares (10 acres) of Bre´ze`me Co^tes du Rho^ne and 4.5 hectares (11 acres) of Collines Rhodaniennes. With a 16-hectare (40-acre) land reserve, the estate will be able to pursue its growth and increase the production of these fine wines. Founded by the Gresse Family in 1999, Domaine de Bréseyme was acquired in 2018 by Maison & Domaines Les Alexandrins, experts in the Northern Rhône, based in Tain l'Hermitage.
