“Showing off its deep hue, the 1995 Miles Madeira shows buttercream and toasted hazelnut tones aromatically with ripe dark figs and shades of butterscotch. The palate shows a huge range of flavors from blood orange rind to guava, pomegranate seed and ripe pineapple alongside salted Marcona almond. Complex and downright delicious, this beautiful Madeira has a long way to go.”
About The Winery
The firm that was eventually to become Miles Madeira was originally known as Rutherford & Grant, established on the island of Madeira in 1814. Over the years as the business was passed down from generation to generation, Miles Madeira became one of the most respected brands on the island. Today, Miles is part of the Blandy family's Madeira Wine Company and is synonymous with excellent Madeira wine made from the Tinta Negra grape variety on the rich and diverse terroirs of this volcanic island.
