"A transparent medium red color, the 2021 Pinot Noir Zena Crown Vineyard is fresh and inviting, with a rosy perfume that leads with notes of pure red cherries, baking spice, and fresh forest herbs. It moves seamlessly to the palate and retains all its purity and refreshment with ease. It reveals delicate savory notes that are only going to enhance the wine as it ages over the next few years. A beautiful wine, it would be a pleasure to drink now or over the next 10-12 years."

" Smooth and polished, the 2021 Hamilton Russell Oregon ‘Zena Crown’ Pinot Noir shows off tart cranberry, guava and reed raspberry fruits alongside freshly tilled soils and shades of pomegranate seed with blood orange zest. Very fruity and lithe, this is outstanding Pinot Noir that has only started to hit its stride. Drink 2023-2035-"

"Takes a moment to reveal itself, but this Pinot unfolds blueberry and guava flavors laced with dusky spice and forest floor accents. Builds tension toward medium-grained tannins. Drink now through 2031. 268 cases made."
About The Winery
Hamilton Russell Vineyards in South Africa developed an international reputation over 40 vintages for unusually restrained, classically styled Pinot Noir, with deep structure and spice balancing fruit opulence. Hamilton Russell Oregon aims to express this stylistic philosophy with the very best Willamette Valley fruit - showcasing the restrained classicism of great European Pinot Noir and the bright purity of Oregon fruit. In 2020, with the release of two site-specific Hamilton Russell Oregon Pinot Noirs from the applauded Eola Amity Hills and Ribbon Ridge appellations, Anthony and Olive Hamilton Russell expanded their reach to the frontier of Burgundian-style winemaking in the New World. While the Hamilton Russell team brings with them years of experience and know-how to the burgeoning Oregon wine industry, they see their Oregon project as a great learning opportunity, which should ultimately inform the quality and styling of all their wines.
